Tooth Bleaching is a procedure where most of the stains are removed. Mild acidic agents are applied on the tooth and activated by LED curing light of high intensity. This is called In- Office Bleaching. For some people In Home bleaching is also recommend where bleaching agents are applied via specialized trays.

Tooth Colored Restorations

During the past dental cavities and tooth fractures are filled or repaired with traditional materials like gold, silver amalgam, etc. As the technology has advanced tooth colored restorative materials are available in the market.
The major advantage of these materials is the esthetics where these materials blend with the adjacent tooth surface. Also these materials have higher strengths and are free of mercury toxicity. These are called composite materials, which have a better flow into the cavity and superior strength. These materials have slowly replaced the conventional amalgam fillings to restore new cavities as well as replace older fillings. Finishing and polishing of composite restorations increases the lusture and life of the material.

These are also preferred in conditions like flourosis stains, superficial stains that do not respond to teeth whitening procedures
